It was no fun watching Rewilding come to grief at Ascot. A decent horse trained by a quality caring trainer and ridden by a top jockey. A horse that had been wonderfully treated and cared for in his short but successful career. Rewilding couldn’t have asked for more, apart from avoiding that cruel twist of fate that occurred in the King George.

There would be few people who deny that he had, like all racehorses, been pampered through his career.

Apart that is from that group of sick and misguided individuals masquerading under the name of Animal Aid.
